Mr. Gudobba called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Motion by Mr. Landa, supported by Ms. O’Neal, to approve the agenda as submitted. Motion carried.

Mr. Tomlinson inquired as to whether the petitioner has received a letter from the Township Assessor’s office stating there were no objections.

Ed Gallagher, North Gratiot Floral Supply, 44701 N. Gratiot Avenue, Clinton Township, Michigan 48036, stated that the two parcels are owned by two separate people. He stated he will follow up with the Township Assessor’s office.

Motion by Mr. Landa, supported by Ms. Dedenbach, with reference to File #5441 and application from Ed Gallagher, North Gratiot Floral Supply, 44701 N. Gratiot Avenue, Clinton Township, Michigan 48036, as represented by William Thompson, Lehner Associates, Inc., 17001 19 Mile Road, Suite 3, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038, concerning request for approval of Site Development Plans for North Gratiot Floral Mini Storage and Retail located on 2.673 acres of land fronting the west line of Gratiot Avenue, south of Hall Road (Section 1), that recommendation for approval of the Site Development Plan be submitted to the Township Board, subject to a letter of "no objections" from the Township Assessor’s office being received prior to the matter being submitted to the Township Board. Samuel Backos, Ernie’s King’s Mill, 16655 19 Mile Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038, stated he was willing to answer questions.

Mr. Cassin stated that the petitioner plans to use part of the hospital parking lot as a temporary parking lot for his business. The Township Board granted permission contingent upon the petitioner complying with the Tree Preservation Ordinance.

Mr. Tomlinson stated his opinion that the trees are "scrub trees".

Mr. Cassin stated he agreed.

Motion by Ms. Dedenbach, supported by Ms. Trombley, with reference to File #1070 and application from Samuel Backos, Ernie’s King’s Mill, 16655 19 Mile Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038, concerning request for review of Landscape Plan for Ernie’s King’s Mill’s request for permission to use a temporary parking lot, that approval of the request for use of a temporary parking lot be granted subject to a report by the Landscape Committee being approved by the Planning Department Director; further, if the Planning Department does not grant approval, then the matter will be referred back to the Planning Commission. Roll Call Vote: Aye- Dedenbach, Trombley, Consiglio, Gudobba, Landa, O’Neal, Tomlinson. Nay- None. Absent- Nickerson, Roach. Motion carried.

James Budziak, Union Lake Development, L.L.C., P. O. Box 1184, Mt. Clemens, Michigan 48046, stated he was willing to answer questions.

Mr. Cassin stated that the Planning Department is requesting that this matter be referred to the Landscape Committee.

Mr. Budziak stated that they will save as many trees as possible and plant an additional 53 trees. He added that the owners of the land will be present when the contractor is cutting down the trees.

Motion by Ms. O’Neal, supported by Mr. Consiglio, with reference to File #5458-T, and application from James Budziak, Union Lake Development, L.L.C., P. O. Box 1184, Mt. Clemens, Michigan 48046, concerning request for recommendation for approval of Tree Removal Plan for Anthony Estates Subdivision (Proposed) located on 14.5 acres fronting the west line of Union Lake Road, north of Harrison Road (Section 36), that the matter be referred to the Landscape Committee. Ms. Dedenbach inquired as to the status of the debris on the subject property.

Mr. Sorrentino stated the petitioner is working on cleaning up the debris.

Motion by Ms. Dedenbach, supported by Mr. Landa, with reference to File #5004 and application from Michael Sorrentino, Sorrentino Builders, 35520 Forton Court, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035, as represented by Anthony Sorrentino, same firm and address, concerning request for recommendation for temporary waiver of the required wall for Dirty Harry’s Car Wash located on 1.5 acres of land fronting the north line of 15 Mile Road, west of Utica Road (Section 30), that recommendation for approval of a one year temporary wall waiver be granted or until the northerly 195 feet of the subject property is developed. Mario L. Izzi, Trinity Management, Co., 21570 Hall Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038, stated he was willing to answer questions.

Mr. Consiglio inquired as to whether the six feet easement has been vacated.

Mr. Izzi stated the restaurant that was there originally had the six feet easement. He added the utilities were put in after the expansion of M-59. He stated he is willing to relocate the utilities to vacate the six foot easement.

Motion by Ms. Dedenbach, supported by Mr. Landa, with reference to File #5447 and application from Mario L. Izzi, Trinity Management, Co., 21570 Hall Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038, concerning request for approval of Site Development Plan for Forli Office Building located on Part of Lot 2, Lot 3, Trinity Industrial Subdivision #1 (Section 3), generally located at the southeast corner of Hall Road and Trinity Drive, that recommendation for approval of the Site Development Plans be submitted to the Township Board, subject to the issue of vacating a portion of the easement being resolved prior to construction. Roll Call Vote: Aye- Dedenbach, Landa, Consiglio, Gudobba, O’Neal, Tomlinson, Trombley. Nay- None. Absent- Nickerson, Roach. Motion carried.

DISCUSSION REGARDING NEXT MEETING

Mr. Cassin stated there are 3 Site Plans on the next agenda.
