MINUTES

Mr. Gudobba called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Motion by Mr. Nickerson, supported by Mr. Landa, to approve the agenda as submitted. Motion carried.

Mr. Gudobba explained the procedure for a Public Hearing to be as follows: the petitioner will make comments, the public will have an opportunity to ask questions and the Planning Commission will have opportunity to make comments or ask questions.

Pertinent correspondence was read and entered into the record. Ms. Trombley noted that 19 notices were mailed to owners and occupants within 300 feet of the subject property and 1 was returned.

Ronald Chiesa, R.A. Chisea Architects, 39200 Garfield, Ste D, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038, stated he was willing to answer questions.

Nellie Sexton, Lakeside Insurance Agency, 43200 Garfield, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038, stated she owns the business next door to the subject property and inquired as to what the petitioner plans for the development.

Mr. Chiesa stated the development will be used as office space.

Ms. Dedenbach stated for the record that the rear portion of the subject property will abut condominiums in the future and in her opinion a permanent wall waiver should not be granted.

Motion by Mr. Landa, supported by Mr Nickerson, with reference to File #5459 and application from

Ronald Chiesa, R.A. Chisea Architects, 39200 Garfield, Ste D, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038, concerning request for recommendation of approval of rezoning from R-1 One-Family Residential to OS-1 Office/Service (Low-Rise) for 2.37 acres of land fronting the east line of Garfield Road, north of 19 Mile Road (Section 5), that recommendation for approval of rezoning from R-1 One-Family Residential to OS-1 Office/Service (Low-Rise), be submitted to the Township Board.. Roll Call Vote: Aye- Landa, Nickerson, Consiglio, Dedenbach, Gudobba, O’Neal, Roach, Trombley. Nay- None. Absent- Tomlinson. Motion carried.

REPORT OF MEETINGS

Motion by Mr. Nickerson, supported by Mr. Roach, to approve the Report of Meetings from Thursday, July 27, 2000 and Thursday, August 10, 2000, as submitted. Motion carried.

DISCUSSION REGARDING NEXT MEETING

Mr. Cassin stated there are no Site Plans submitted as of this date for the next agenda.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Mr. Nickerson, supported by Mr. Roach, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:37 p.m.
