Responsibilities
The Human Resource Department is responsible for Township-wide labor and employee relations.
The department:
- Administers employee benefit programs such as health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and workers' compensation.
- Develops and recommends personnel policies
- Negotiates collective bargaining agreements with the Township's twelve unions
- Assists operating departments with training and disciplinary actions
- Responds to employee grievances
- Coordinates employee safety programs
