Responsibilities

The Human Resource Department is responsible for Township-wide labor and employee relations.

The department:

  • Administers employee benefit programs such as health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and workers' compensation.
  • Develops and recommends personnel policies
  • Negotiates collective bargaining agreements with the Township's twelve unions
  • Assists operating departments with training and disciplinary actions
  • Responds to employee grievances
  • Coordinates employee safety programs
